At-home COVID test coverage for members began Jan 15
As of January 15, 2022, we will cover up to eight self-administered at-home tests per commercial member per month for personal, diagnostic use, without cost and without any need for prior clinical assessment.

FDA Changes: Some Monoclonal Antibody Treatments No Longer Covered
On January 24, 2022 the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) revoked emergency use authorization (EUA) for two monoclonal antibody treatments—bamlanivimab and etesevimab (administered together) and REGEN-COV (casirivimab and imdevimab) because they are not effective against circulating COVID variants.

Andrew Dreyfus stepping down as president and CEO
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts announced that Andrew Dreyfus will step down as president and chief executive officer at the end of 2022. The company's Board of Directors will begin a national search for Dreyfus' successor.

NYC retirees moving to NYC Medicare Advantage Plus plan
Effective April 1, 2022, more than 200,000 Medicare-eligible City of New York retirees will move to the NYC Medicare Advantage Plus plan. The effective date for this transition was originally communicated as January 1, 2022.

$0 cost visits under our new value care offerings
